DivorceCare, a biblically-based support group for people who are divorced, separated or considering ending a marriage. The 13-week Fall cycle starts Sun. Sept. 10th and Wed., Sept. 6th. WHEN: Sun. at 1:45 pm; Wed. at 6:30 pm. WHERE: Fellowship Hall, then Room 325. We also offer DivorceCare 4 Kids (DC4K) on Sun. only for kids 5-12 years old and a session for kids younger. Need an Attorney? ALFRED STREET SIDE BARS are back! Members of Alfred Street Baptist Church Legal Resources Ministry will be available to provide a free 15-minute intake for ASBC members and the community who need a referral to an attorney. No legal advice will be provided during these intakes. This event is open to ASBC members and the community. Social Justice Candidates Forum WHEN: Thurs., Oct. 12th. The Social Justice Ministry of ASBC and the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professional Network (NVULYPN) are jointly sponsoring/holding the 2017 Candidates Forum at ASBC. This two part event will begin with a meet-and greet in the Multipurpose Room @6:30 pm and transition into the Sanctuary for a 7:30 pm start to the Political Forum. The purpose of the Forum is to give VA statewide and local candidates an opportunity to present a summary of their political platforms and to give attendees an opportunity to ask questions.
