Alfred Street Baptist Church

301 S. Alfred St.  – Alexandria, VA 22314

Launched in 2003, the Brother’s Keeper mission is a signature outreach event hosted by Alfred Street Baptist Church. Brother’s Keeper provides underserved children and families in the Alexandria community with back-to-school essentials such as backpacks, coats, and classroom supplies. In addition to giving back, the day also includes family fun activities, food and snacks, health screenings, motivational speakers, and more.

You’ve heard the phrase “it takes a village to raise a child,” and for the 15th year in a row our village of volunteers, members, and youth are gearing up to bless local children in need.

WE SERVE CHILDREN:

• In need within the church’s zip code of 22314
• On free or reduced lunch
• Referred by a social service agency
• In homeless shelters and foster homes
• From feeder middle and high schools who accept students from the 22314 zip code
• From the church who are in need

Over the past 15 years, our mission has supplied participants with:
