Christian Life Institute - Alfred Street Baptist Church

The Board of Christian Education at the Alfred Street Baptist Church serves as a venue to enable and encourage the disciples of the church to be and to make disciples “winning the world for Christ.” Our goal is to fulfill the five mandates of the New Testament Church through—Worship, Fellowship, Missions, Evangelism and Discipleship.

We are ever mindful that we live in a fallen state; however, there is always good news that we can be redeemed by the power of Jesus Christ. For the Bible says, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:17). God’s love for us is manifested in the life, death, resurrection and the coming again of Jesus Christ. It is the responsibility of the Board of Christian Education to equip the disciples of the church with opportunities for studying God’s Word that they may know and serve Him better. We offer courses throughout the church year which are biblically-based, holistic and relevant to the issues and needs of our day, and a week-long Christian Life Institute to help our disciples to know, love, and grow as faithful servants and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Every Christian Education experience must help individuals to discover what it truly means to become the sons and daughters of the Living Christ and to live out one’s faith willing to witness and work for the kingdom of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.
