Intercessory Prayer Ministry - Alfred Street Baptist Church

The Alfred Street Baptist Church Intercessory Prayer ministry is committed to fostering a greater emphasis on personal and corporate prayer in the life of the believer and our church. We realize that prayer under grids every aspect of who we are and what we do, our church ministries, staff, missions’ efforts and church family. We invite anyone to join us as we pray for people throughout our church, our community, state, nation and our world. We presently meet in the Adkins Chapel on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday at 12 noon and Saturday mornings at 7:00 a.m.In case of inclement weather we will meet and pray using the telephone conference call line.

We also sponser a telephone conference call prayer time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The telephone number is 1 218 - 486 - 1600. The access code is 412 632. This prayer time is facilitated by a member of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry and is open to all.

Ministry Initiatives & Activities:

Quarterly we partner with the Pastor for a gathering called "Praying with the Pastor".
On the first Thursday of May, we host a community prayer breakfast in honor of the National Day of Prayer. All are welcome but reservation are required.
We update the weekly prayer list. You can submit prayer requests by calling the church, or submitting online
On the last Saturday of August we partner with the Mom and Babies class to pray for the families as school starts.
We partner with the Brother's Keepers Ministry to pray for the families and workers during the ministry activity.
On the first Sunday and Monday of November we sponser a 24 hour Prayer vigil at the church.
On the first Tuesday of June and December we partner with the church leadership to promote an hour of Prayer and Praise before the church business meeting.
