HBCU Festival Registration

Attendee Registration

Everyone must register to attend the HBCU Festival (students, parents, guardians, counselors, siblings etc.) and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Everyone over age five (5) attending the festival (students, parents, extended family, guardians, counselors, etc.) must register individually. If attending with a group of twenty (20) or more, it is recommended that the group leader register first, then ensure that each attendee register and select your group’s name when asked for that information. This will be used to expedite the check-in for your group the day of the festival.

Volunteer Registration

All volunteers (including returning volunteers) are required to attend a mandatory training session prior to the festival in order to participate on the day of the event. The sessions will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Saturday February 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Please note: you may not participate in multiple capacities. For example, a festival volunteer should not also register as a festival attendee or recruiter.

College Recruiter and Local Alumni Chapter Representative Registration

NOTE: Local Alumni reps must coordinate participation and coverage for the festival floor with the school admissions office team prior to registering. There is no limit on the number of representatives from your school that attends, (college staff or local alumni chapter members) but everyone must register!!

Each school will receive a maximum of five (5) badge lanyards for the festival floor area. If there will be volunteer coverage that includes local alumni chapter volunteers, each volunteer will need to register individually using the link above and the team will be required to coordinate the transfer of lanyards as coverage transitions during the day.

Band and Choral Director Registration

Each Individual attending from your school to support band and choral auditions must register separately. Individual registrations will help avoid a significant delay when checking on Festival day.

Vendor and External Organization Application

Completing the form is an application for consideration. Each vendor or organization will receive a confirmation of participation and additional guidance to complete the registration process.

Vendor: For the purpose of festival registration, vendors are those that plan to sell products or services during the festival. The sale of food items is not allowed.

**Please note that if you are a public service organization (e.g. fraternity/sorority, LINKS, Jack and Jill, government agencies, and military organizations), you should register as an External Organization, not as a Vendor.

External Organization: For the purpose of festival registration, external organizations are those that are primarily public service in nature. Previous festival examples that fit into the category include fraternities/sororities, LINKS, Jack and Jill, government agencies, and military organizations.

**Please note that if you plan to sell products or services, you should register as a Vendor, not as an External Organization.
