AGAPE partners with other ASBC ministries to customize programs/services that address unique needs of church members.

It is a divorce recovery support group that provides a safe and sacred environment for those hurting from separation and divorce to find hope and healing. Running concurrently is DivorceCare 4Kids, which is a special group that helps children deal with the pain caused by the separation and/or divorce of their parents. DC4K provides children with a safe and nurturing space to recognize and learn to share their feelings. Confidentiality is an important and respected part of the DivorceCare Ministry and DivorceCare 4Kids. Participants sign and honor a covenant agreement to ensure that when we gather we are doing so in safe and sacred space.

Financial Peace

Contact: financialpeace@alfredstreet.org
The Financial Peace Ministry presents Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU). Financial Peace University teaches God’s ways of handling money through video instruction, class discussions and interactive small group activities. FPU presents Biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. FPU is not a traditional “money class”; there are valuable information and resources to assist you no matter where you are in your financial journey. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, spend and save wisely, manage your money, and so much more! Lessons discussed: Saving, Relating with Money, Cash Flow Planning, Dumping Debt, Buyer Beware, The Role of Insurance, Retirement and College Planning, Real Estate and Mortgages.

FPU classes meet for two hours for nine weeks. Watch for classes offered 2 – 3 times a year based on interest and demand. Other activities offered by FPU include Act Your Wage Game Night, a family friendly board game that presents valuable information in a fun way. We are also committed to find ways to introduce money strategies to the all ages.

Come join us in this opportunity to discover the hope that comes through God’s ways of handling money. Financial stewardship is a key component of your financial peace. Be a fiscally responsible steward and take a FPU class as a resource. Once you have completed FPU, consider volunteering as a class coordinator. If you are interested in learning more, contact us. Let’s go further in our stewardship together!
