Good morning all. Please pray for me on this 39th day, nearly there. was up all night thanks to banging and clanging of pipes - we have oil heat. please pray this will be easily resolved. it is also causing anxiety for my dog. God has been good during this seek fast. I am trying to hold on. Prayers of thanksgiving for my sister Beverley's birthday. May God continue to bless her life and her ministries.

I am so grateful to God for this opportunity to participate for the second year with SEEK through Alfred Street Baptist Church. I listen to services on the weekend and old ones too. My journey with Seek has been awesome. I fell off the wagon once or twice with my sugar intake, but it was through prayer I was able to hold out. Today, God answered my prayer on purchasing an investment property!...signed the contract today. I started pursuing this venture mid- 2022 & I believe when I started SEEKing God in a real & trusting kind a way with my hopes & dreams, things began to change for me. This SEEK journey has been truly humbling. I want to thank ASBC for opening up & welcoming everyone to share this experience. God has opened & closed some doors in my life during this fast. Im learning to study His word &discern His voice . I've experienced so much joy & peace in my life during this time.I have been blessed with a promotion at work, lost weight, gained energy & a renewed hunger to be in the Lord's presence constantly. I am grateful to God for answering prayers for my sister who has Alzheimer’s Disease who has been blessed to receive by the grace of God services of care. She is more receptive to others helping her. I praise God for her especially for returning her home once she walked away from home which happened a couple of months ago. I am also grateful to God for blessing my neice as she goes through treatments of dialysis. I thank God for covering our children and for blessings of strength and for healing me during my recovery from surgery. I thank... Read more

I called my doctor to see if could participate in SEEK23 and he asked that I come in as I had not been in the office for over a year. I went in on Jan. 11, 2023, and came out anxious and SCARED!! I called my doctor to see if could participate in SEEK23 and he asked that I come in as I had not been in the office for over a year. I went in on Jan. 11, 2023, and came out anxious and SCARED!! The sedentary lifestyle that I had been living had taken a toll on me and it showed up in all my tests. My BP was sky high, my weight was off the charts, cholesterol dangerously high, and glucose borderline prediabetic. The doctor also ordered an EKG and echocardiogram to see if there was any damage to my heart. He immediately put me on BP and cholesterol medications. In all of my 76 years, I had never been prescribed medication for that. To say the least I was very worried. He did say I could participate and the Daniel Fast would be beneficial! After feeling sorry for myself I decided to get moving and do something about my condition, physical and spiritual. I began each morning thanking God for waking me and seeing me through the night. Praying that my numbers were getting lower. I began exercising while listening to the awesome playlists by Pastor Wesley and Dr. Judy! taking short walks in the afternoon, all the while following The Daniel Fast. I carved out time in the afternoon for reading and studying the Bible. I returned to the doctor on Jan. 24th. My BP was still very high and he upped the dosage for BP meds. When I returned home I was catching up on the Journal entries and read the one for day 13 (Jan. 23)"I AM WELL" by Dr. Ty. I then knew, by my faith I would be well, physically, emotionally and spiritually!! I returned to the doctor on Feb.10. Praise God, my weight was down 11 lbs., my BP was now in the 140 range, still high, but trending down, the EKG and electrocardiogram were normal!! Each morning I thank God for the WILL and the WANT to be better, and for Pastor Wesley and SEEK23. For I truly believe if not for SEEK23 I could easily have had a stroke or heart attack. But by Faith I will continue to be WELL!!

Three visits to the ER since the fast could have been catastrophic...BUT God. God is opening doors, allowing my gifts and talents be recognized and used, restoring family unity, preparing our family for ministry, breaking strongholds in areas of eating, discipline, procrastination, holding on to past hurt, and poor communications. I could go on and on, but you get the point. I am taking the fast materials, and recordings, and will be doing a a series of smaller fasts throughout the remainder of the year, to continue the work on me that was initiated during SEEK 2023. Thank you for the vision to share the Fast materials with anyone. The seeds ASBC is sowing will have impact in so many areas, where they can't go, or are not even aware of...But God knows. Because I am subscribed to Alfred Street I decided to continue the journey and it has been a blessing, God has come through in a number of ways, especially in moments of sudden grief, and he answered some prayers beyond my expectation, and I continue to seek, surrender and expect. The devotionals and the journaling have been good for my soul. The sermons have been soul-stirring, challenging, and thought-provoking. I was really thankful for the webpage playback of the prayers as it was difficult to join the call from here. In everything I give thanks, I count it all joy and move forward with confidence that I can hear God's voice, align myself to His will and feel and show His power in my life. I grew up eating rice everyday; however, I have not had rice for the past 38 days! Where I am from, not eating rice is an impossible thought. It has not been easy but I give all the glory to God. Tuesday February 7th around 7:30p my 89 year old mother went to the restroom and felt that she could no longer move her legs and she saw red, she then fell to the floor and still could not move her legs, she then dragged herself to the door to her apartment to let the EMT's in...Let me tell you "BUT GOD" see she wears a Life Alert bracelet but was not wearing it at the time because she just came in earlier from an outing, but on the way to the bathroom she grabbed the bracelet- OMG Look at God... My mother suffered a stroke that effected her balance, but let me tell you her balance is good and she has no bruises nor any broken bones from the fall !!!! Hallelujah !!! Glory to God !!! OMG, the Lord just keep on blowing my mind, time and time again and I thank him and Love him so much !!!

During the same week I received my promotion, my daughter received an offer for a paid internship this summer and my step father received a promotion and doubled his salary. I have a SEEK praise report to share with you. My 14-year-old opened up in the car today and shared how she was afraid to remove her mask at school and felt she was hiding behind her mask. She said she would try not to wear a mask in school. She shared that she was afraid of sharing the COVID virus, she was just concerned and fearful. I assured her that the blood of Jesus covered me and that no matter what, I would be fine. You have no idea how her opening her heart has been a prayer of mine during this SEEK journey. And I asked her if it was ok for me to pray with her, and she said yes! I've longed for her to be open to God again and live for Christ. This was another SEEK prayer request that God would soften her heart and mind and win her back to the kingdom. I offered up a little prayer in the car for her protection as she went to school with no mask, I pleaded for God's protection as a hedge around her, and I also pleaded for the blood of Jesus over as we held hands. I've longed for her to return to her childhood faith and trust God more; she has been angry at life for so long. We have had many therapists throughout the years, and many days of me taking her midday to talk to someone about her feelings, but I knew God needed to get back in her heart. Today, I saw that! I saw God move, the God of Jacob and Isaac, and the God of David move on her spirit like never before. Please continue to pray for my only child, that she will walk into her God-given destiny in Christ Jesus. SEEKing God is moving with God given results in my home!

When I think about how God has shown up and shown out such that Momma is now in good shape and at peace, my work is steadily growing, my finances are looking up and my outlook on the future is brighter, all as my relationship with God is getting stronger and deeper, I can say God has shown me Who is the Boss and how much I truly am nothing without His love, mercy and grace.
