Tuesday Bible Study Class

The study of God’s word is central to the life and mission of the Alfred Street Baptist Church.  Adult Bible Study meets every Tuesday evening for devotions at 6:30 followed by an engaging, dynamic and informative exploration of the Holy Scriptures. All are welcome, but be warned:  continued exposure to God’s word will change your life.

Terms of Engagement

  • Bible Study is a life-long enterprise.
  • Learn to feel comfortable not knowing everything – scaffolding.
  • It’s OK if we don’t agree.
  • It’s OK to change your mind.
  • Listen with care to what others have to say.
  • This is a space of mutual respect.
  • Assume everyone else is as smart as you are.
  • Assume everyone else loves Jesus as much as you do.
  • Some of the best lessons come in the form of a surprise.

Senior’s Bible Study

Senior Bible Study meets twice a month on Wednesdays at 12:00. This class is designed to address the interests and needs of our seasoned saints. It includes a time of prayer and provides an opportunity for participants to share their wisdom. The one hour format is followed by a period of food and fellowship in the multipurpose room.
