2019 BK Youth Packing Day

This Community Packing Service  event is for youth ages 5-18. We are set to pack school supplies into backpacks for over 1000 participants so bring your stamina and your “A” game! Lunch will be served from noon-1pm. Guess what students…you can get community service hours for this event. So parents, be sure to sign up your youth.

Brother’s Keeper
The Brother’s Keeper Ministry (BKM) supports underserved families in the local community and the metro Alexandria area. It provides guidance and direction to the underserved community to meet their present and future needs, primarily in areas such as education, health and wellness, economic and spiritual matters. The major focus is to equip and prepare underserved children with the supplies for a successful school year.

Feed the 5000

Feed the 5000 Project is an annual event that services the Alexandria community. We seek to provide food assistance to families in need in the Alexandria Community.

ATTENTION: If you currently receive monthly food assistance from ALIVE!, you DO NOT need to register. Please continue to pick up your food at that ALIVE! site only. You will not be allowed to collect food at any other location.

Applicants must reside in Alexandria. Information about the number of persons living in your home and household income will be used to determine your eligibility for food assistance from the Feed the 5000 Project. If you do not have this information, or if you do not provide it, your application could be denied.
*Feed the 5000 Project will not sell, share, lease or give away your personal information or user e-mail address to third parties.

All participants except shelter residents will receive a confirmation card in the mail with your scheduled pickup time. Gift cards will be delivered to each shelter.
