Christian Education & Spiritual Enrichment

Christian Education is to offer classes throughout the church calendar year that are biblically based, real and relevant in meeting the needs of the congregants to mature in their relationship with God, with others. The goal is to “Build Disciples to Win the world for Christ.”

Church Family Life

Our church family life ministries focus on specific areas of interest and range from sports to marriage to age and gender specific ministries. These ministries offer a variety of opportunities for meaningful connection centered around the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Music and Worship Arts Ministry

The Music and Worship Arts Ministry serves the church and the larger community outside these walls as God continues to use many committed and dedicated singers and instrumentalists to lead the congregation in praise and worship, and serve the church whenever needed.

Mission and Community

The Missions Ministry of Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC) strives to fulfill and perform the duties of Matthew 25:35-36 with commitment, prayer, service, and dedication through community outreach within the church, local community and state; while developing national and international partnerships.

CAYA

A service that caters to young adults, ages 21-40ish. Come As You Are (CAYA) is a unique worship experience that focuses on the issues, concerns and struggles we encounter daily. While service is relevant for individuals in their twenties and thirties, CAYA is for everyone! Attendees need not be a member of Alfred Street Baptist Church or any other church— simply Come As You Are. Worship and God’s Word come alive with Pastor Wesley, a band and the CAYA Praise Team. Come early for food and fellowship, then stay to nourish your spirit with worship! God is working in our lives everyday.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) provides a unique approach to learning the Bible and retaining an understanding of Godly principles presented in the Word of God.

Hidden Halos

Hidden Halos provides random acts of kindness to Alexandria members of the Alexandria community.

Kids

Kids’ Street Children’s Church provides age appropriate worship services for children ages 4-12. The mission of this ministry is to make available opportunities for children to praise and worship God as well as learn about God and come to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Crossover

Crossover is an opportunity for Alfred Street youth to connect with God, their peers and adults in a fun, engaging and unique atmosphere where they can learn about God in a format that speaks to them at their level.

Higher Ground

Higher Ground is a space where teens are free and encouraged to develop a closer relationship with God through biblical application, experiential learning, spiritual worship and life changing fellowship.
