The tournament will use a virtual leaderboard to track teams’ scores, monitor the pace of play, and facilitate the finalization of teams’ scores at the end of tournament play. Your cell number will be collected during registration for these purposes. Each team should provide at least one cell number to be eligible to compete for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the winner(s) of the putting contest; longest drive; closest to the hole, and male, female & senior flights.
MEN’S Teams will play from the (WHITE) tees.
SENIOR’S Teams will play from the (GOLD) tees.
WOMEN’S Teams will play from the (RED) tees.
Red tees are the shortest distance from the teebox to the hole.
To ensure fairness in scoring, any team of male and female golfers with one (1) male player UNDER age 65 will be included in the men’s flight, and ALL persons on that team must play from the men’s (white) tees. None may play from the (gold) or (red) tees.
Likewise any mixed team of senior women who have one (1) senior male on the team and NO male players UNDER age 65) will be included in the senior flight, and ALL persons on that team must play from the (GOLD) tees (i.e., None of the Women in that Senior flight may play from the (red) tees. However, all members of such teams must (in fairness to the all-male teams) play from the men’s (white) tees.
Similarly, senior women who wish to play with senior men may qualify as a senior team and compete with other senior teams for the senior flight prizes. However, all members of such teams must (in fairness to the all-male Senior teams) play from the senior (gold) tees. None may play from the women’s (red) tees.
In all cases, to be eligible to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes for the senior flight all members of a senior team (mixed or not) must be 65 and older (ID required at check-in).
To ensure a robust women’s flight, each team that consists of all women (regardless of their ages) will be included in the women’s flight and all may play from the (red) tees even if one or more are over age 65.
To be eligible to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes for the senior flight all members of a senior team (mixed or not) must be 65 and older (ID required at check-in).
To be eligible to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the women’s flight, all members of a women’s team must be Women. No exceptions.
Flight rules will be waived for all senior and female golfers when they arrive at the prize holes for their flights — i.e., Longest Drive (men/women/senior) and Closest to the pin.
On those holes seniors may play from the (gold) tees and women may play from the (red) tees. However, men under age 65 must play from the white tees.
