Join us for the most exciting part of Summer, Vacation Bible School! In June, our church will transform into a rainforest where our youth (ages 2-years old through 12th grade) will “Explore the Nature of God!” During our four nights of VBS, campers (participants) will hear engaging Bible stories that explore the creative, omniscient, safe, and eternal nature of our awesome God.

Youth VBS will be available in-person and online
Monday, June 22 – Thursday, June 25, 2026 (6-8 pm ET)

Space for both formats is limited. When registering, either as a volunteer or a camper attendee (child), it is important that you specifically register for the in-person experience or the online experience. Please do not register for both!

Note: Adult VBS will be offered online only
Monday, June 22 – Thursday, June 25, 2026 (6:30 – 7:45 pm ET via Zoom)

For Adult VBS questions, please contact the Adult VBS Team at adultvbs@alfredstreet.org.

2026 VBS FAQs:

When is Vacation Bible School (VBS)?

In 2026, Youth VBS will occur nightly from Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25. The Youth VBS Experience will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm ET in-person or online, with in-person check-in from 5:30-6:00 pm, and online check-in from 5:45 – 6:00 pm each night.

What is Youth VBS?

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is four memorable nights of faith, friendship, and FUN for our youth! Through engaging Bible stories, energetic worship, themed crafts, and games, youth from 2-years old through High School Seniors will discover God’s love in age-appropriate ways. It’s THE Summer highlight that will give them memories to last a lifetime. We can’t wait to see you there!

What is this year’s theme?

This year, we are using a theme from Group Publishing, “Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God!” Anchored in the Old Testament book of Psalms, campers (participants) will hear engaging Bible stories that explore the creative, omniscient, safe, and eternal nature of our awesome God.

I want to volunteer with Youth VBS! What volunteer roles are available?

This will be our second year offering Youth VBS in a dual format (in-person and online), and we truly couldn’t do it without our amazing and dedicated volunteers who serve our children each night. It takes a village — well, in this case, a rainforest 😉🌿

To help volunteers prayerfully discern where their gifts will shine brightest, we’ve organized our roles into various categories.

  • Teaching and Class Room Support: Best for volunteers who love working directly with kids and enjoy teaching, guiding lessons, and supporting classroom learning
  • Flexible and Behind-the-Scenes Support: Best for volunteers who are flexible, helpful, and enjoy humping in wherever needed to keep VBS running smoothly.
  • Virtual Classroom Operations (Tech Support): Best for volunteers who enjoy using technology to ensure virtual classrooms run smoothly and effectively.
  • Welcome and Hospitality: Best for volunteers who enjoy greeting families and helping every child feel seen, known, and welcomed
  • Experience and Activity Crews: Best for volunteers who love bringing energy and fun and enjoy creating engaging moments through games, crafts, music, and more!

Click here to learn about the roles that fall within these categories, along with volunteer position descriptions for each.

If Youth VBS is offered in-person and online, does that mean it is a hybrid experience?

No. The in-person and online youth VBS experiences will occur simultaneously, but they will be two completely separate experiences. In-person volunteers and attendees will not engage with online volunteers and attendees, or vice versa.

I’m interested in both Youth VBS formats, in-person AND online! Can I register my child for both?

We’re equally as excited that you are interested in both of our youth experiences! However, we must ask you to choose only one (in-person OR online) and register for that experience. If you register for both, you will be contacted and asked to make a decision so the Youth VBS team can cancel the duplicate registration and free up a spot for another interested camper! If it helps with your decision-making, we’re asking that individuals who register for the in-person experience plan to attend VBS for at least three of the four nights. If you cannot commit to that, we kindly ask that you register for the online experience instead.

Will food be provided?

Yes, food will be provided for in-person Youth VBS registrants. Each night, all in-person participants will rotate through 25-minutes of Bible study and lesson application; 25-minutes of meal time; and 25-minutes of games and/or arts n crafts.

Since the Adult VBS Experience is occurring fully online, ASBC will not be providing food for Adult VBS participants.

What ages is Youth VBS serving this year?

We are excited to offer in-person and online VBS experiences for youth from 2-years old through 12th grade! Guardians should register their children based upon the age of the child(ren) during the 2025 – 2026 school year, the grade they just completed.

Do you have to be a member of ASBC to volunteer?

Yes! For the safety and wellbeing of our youngest population, ASBC does require that all individuals wishing to volunteer with Youth VBS be members of ASBC. All volunteers are also required to undergo a background check before being cleared to serve, and this applies to volunteering with both in-person and virtual experiences.

Do youth have to be a member of ASBC to participate in Youth VBS?

No, membership is not required for youth to attend/participate in VBS! Membership is only required for those wishing to volunteer to serve.
