Join us for our Easter outdoor worship experience!

We encourage all members to bring their family and friends to worship in-person with their Alfred Street family as we celebrate Resurrection Sunday! This event will occur at 11am ET on Sunday, April 17th at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

This is a FREE one-of-a-kind exciting outdoor worship experience with amazing musical and dance performances.

Doors will open at 10am ET. There’ll be plenty of FREE parking. Covid-19 protocols will be in place including: mask requirements and social distancing.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

FAQs

1.) Is registration REQUIRED to attend?

No. There is no registration required or necessary. This is a first-come-first-served, event ONLY. Therefore, we advise everyone to arrive early as the gates will open at 9:30am ET and the Worship Experience will commence at 11:00am ET.

2.) Will there be restrooms available for public use?

Yes there will be restrooms on site.

3.) What happens if I get sick at the event?

A medical team and EMTs will be on-site.

4.) I don’t have a car or access to a vehicle, can I utilize a ride share service (Uber, Lyft or taxi) or public transportation (bus or Metro) to get to the outdoor Worship Experience?

Yes you may.

5.) Do I have to pay for parking?

No, there will be plenty of FREE PARKING. Parking opens at 8:30am ET

6.) May I bring my own snacks and beverages to the event?

Yes, you may bring your own snacks and beverages. No alcohol or glass bottles allowed.

7.) What if I can’t attend… can I watch online?

Yes, you certainly may! We will LIVE STREAM the worship services on our YouTube channel at 11am ET.

8.) Do I have to wear a mask & will I be required to social distance?

Despite the high number of vaccinations, the DELTA Variant continues to spread throughout the United States. We want to keep everyone safe so you are REQUIRED to wear a mask and practice social distance if you sit down under the pavilion sections. We also STRONGLY ENCOURAGE masks on the grassy area as well as remaining socially distant while attending this event.

9.) Is there a cost to attend?

No. This event is a completely FREE.

10.) Will I be able to pay my tithes or contributions in person?’

Unfortunately, no; please be sure to pay your tithes, offerings or donations via text, online or mail your check prior to your arrival.

11.)Will you provide chairs?

No. You can bring your own chairs and blankets, small coolers, etc.

12.) How long will this service last?

It should last about 2 hours and be over around 1pm ET.

13.) Will there be a bus for senior citizens?

Unfortunately, there will not be a bus for seniors.

MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION BAG POLICY: All bags are subject to a thorough search upon entry. Guests have the right to refuse a bag search and the venue has a right to refuse entry. If you have any items that are not allowed into the venue, you can return them to your vehicle.
