ASBC Hosts “Help Us to Heal”

Alfred Street Baptist Church to Host “Help Us to Heal” a FREE Post traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Program Saturday, April 18, at ll:00 am in Alexandria, Virginia

Alfred Street Baptist Church’s Military Ministry presents “Help Us to Heal”, a FREE Psycho-Drama Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) awareness program designed specifically for all military, veterans and friends and family of military veterans, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 11:00 am.

Alexandria, Virginia, (April, 11, 2015) – Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC), the oldest, largest and most prominent African American church in Northern Virginia,  along with their  Military Ministry presents “Help Us to Heal”, a FREE Psycho-Drama Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) awareness program, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 11:00 am. ALFRED STREET BAPTIST CHURCH is located at 301 South Alfred Street in Alexandria, Virginia, where the Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley serves as Pastor.  This event is FREE and Open to the Public. Tony Curry and Carrie Gibson will present “Into the Fire”, a 45-minute dramatic routine that has been well accepted within the Returning Warrior Workshops and Department of Defense community. The event will be presented in the ASBC Sanctuary with music selections performed by The Maryland Center for Veterans Education & Training (McVet) Center Gospel Choir.  Immediately following the program will be an Information Resource Fair and reception with light refreshments in the ASBC multipurpose room. The Information Resource Fair will be an opportunity for all guests, (civilians and military) to pick up information on PTSD from exhibitors and vendors.
